A Santa Fe Art Legend’s Very Own Gallery
Santa Fe famously served as the home of American artist Georgia O’Keeffe since the 1940s. Living in the area until her death, she helped promote Santa Fe’s reputation as a US art mecca. The downtown museum is the largest collection of O’Keeffe’s work, housing 1,200 pieces and objects. Items from the collection and archives are rotated into exhibitions throughout the year, so you’re bound to see something new each time to visit.
A free guided audio tour is available right on your smartphone. Bring your earbuds and experience the material at your own pace. Non-flash photography is allowed, but leave cumbersome or disruptive equipment like tripods and drones at home.
